“Seeru” is a 2020 Tamil action drama directed by Rathina Shiva and produced by Isharu K. Ganesh under Vels Film International. The film stars “Jiiva” as Manimaran, “Riya Suman” as Vasuki and “Navdeep” as Ashok Mithran, the main antagonist.

“Manimaran”, Jiiva’s character, is a fearless, bold man. He runs a cable TV in Mayiladuthurai and works as a news reporter by being proud in exposing criminals, upholding the law and being just in society. Deeply attached to his younger sister, he takes her to be his little love, whom he protects like his own daughter.

One day, Manimaran reports a news story that incurs the wrath of a ruthless criminal lawyer, Ashok Mithran (Navdeep). Ashok, who uses power and money to manipulate the law, wants revenge and hires a deadly henchman, Malli, to kill Manimaran. But, Fate has it otherwise and Marimaran survives the attack and saves the life of the deadly hanchman, Malli.

After witnessing Manimaran’s greatness in courage, he becomes compassionate towards Malli. The story unfolds into how he changes the side of things for being his protector. When the friendship and affection of their bonding brings both into the eye line of his opponent Ashok Mithran, who showed no hesitation towards eliminating the duo, Manimaran has got a fight more for himself-sister, a friend, a town against an evil influence named Ashok Mithran.

“Seeru” is a fast-paced action drama film in terms of the plot, showcasing friendship, family and what’s right on high-octane action sequences with strong emotions and an interesting storyline. Here, “Jiiva” plays a man fearless enough to take on the whole system that was corrupt at one point by using his smartness and the kind of valor required.
